Run for a wish

We decided to run a 5k with the kid's elementary school. The 5k was for the make a wish foundation. The 5k was at an outdoor mall, road surrounding and parkinglot downtown.

We ran it with a good friend of ours Alicia. This is a picture of us right before the great event. Don't we look so excited?

It decided to rain that day.:) What a day to run. This is me with angels #4 and #3. We are almost done. My angels would like me to post when they finished, so here it is.
Angel 1-26 minutes
Angel 2 and Alicia together-31 minutes
Angel 3 and head Angel-37 minutes
Angel 4 and myself-49 minutes
This is a picture after we all got done soaked by the rain. I was so proud of our kids for finishing the race whether they ran or walked most of the way. We loved it and are looking forward to doing it again.

October in a nutshell

October has come and gone so I will give you a few highlights. At the beginning of the month my sister and her family came to visit. It was alot of fun I wish I had pictures to post of that but of course I don't. She helped to transfer kids to different rooms to give our angel #4 her own room due to the fact that she is our only girl. It was alot of work and I appreciate my sister for all her help. I wish I lived closer to her.

Angel #4 got an award for her citizenship at her school we were very proud of her. The sun was right in their eyes that is why they were squinting.:)

My mom came for my birthday later in the month. How lucky am I!!! A visit from my sister at the beginning of the month and a visit from my mother in the middle of the month. While my mom was there we made this pumpkin cake. Doesn't it look cool? We had alot of fun shopping. The weekend was gone before we knew it though and then she had to go home. It would be great to live closer to family.
To end the month we went to visit the town we moved from to see our old friends. It was a great visit and I am really glad we were able to see everyone there. There was only a few we missed seeing. We are so grateful for the friendships that we have from there. The people there are the best. We miss them.
It was a great month and on to November.

Happy Birthday Angel #2

Happy Birthday Angel #2. We love having you in our family. This is him hanging out on a rock at scout camp. I just thought it was a cute picture. He will tell you that this is the first year we let him have a birthday party. He invited a few friends over for a swimming party and to play video games. What else does a twelve year old like to do right!?:)

I wanted to show this picture because it shows what a good kid he is(most of the time):). He is playing with his cousins while at our family reunion.

This is another picture showing how helpful he can be, pushing his cousin while we were on a hike at the family reunion. He can be so helpful.

This picture is at Hoover Dam. He is helping us with Angel #5. I just really liked this picture of the two of them.

Happy Birthday Angel #2!!! You are a great part of our family and we love you very much.

In Memory Of..

Over the summer our beloved grandma -great passed away. She was the maker of bread, the best cook you knew. She was great at teaching everyone around her how to make her famous bread. She taught many how to make great christmas candy and it became a tradition every year. She was a great skip-bo player and fun to play games with. And she also shared her birthday with our Angel #3. He loved that he could proclaim this and will miss celebrating his birthday with her. It was sad but she lived a long and great life and we were grateful to have her here for so long.

This picture was one that we got in the spring before she passed away.

Because of the funeral we got a great family picture with everyone in it. What a great group of people.
